If your traveling in nys beware on interstates 88 and 81 that i know of they are pulling trucks over on the side of the road for no reason but to check paper work. And maybe do a road side inspection. I have even seen them follow trucks into rest areas to do this . Whats this state coming to i mean i live in upstate ny and its getting to the point that in dont wanna run in it anymore

If they can't tax it, they'll fine it.
Driver of the year Thanks this. -
They do that everywhere ! NY doesn't hold that one to itself.
-
Fair enough, but they're brutal. That's why people cross the border to buy their cars here in CT.
6.35% vs. 8 % adds up. -
well i think its not to safe for them to pull you over for no reason on the side of a major interstate.
-
Yes, I agree.
-
when did they start this. Heck they have a million rest areas that they can convert to inspection points why would they need to do it on the interstate?
-
I think they are checking HUT stickers.
-
At least its not Ohio. You can't even sleep in rest areas or even the dog goned turnpike plazas without troopers coming in and knocking on doors. I keep hearing that they had put a stop to that but just after Christmas I was up on the turnpike in a plaza and sure enough there was a full grown going door to door.

Maybe. Too early for IFTA yet.
