what makes a good parking spot?

My thoughts too, otherwise all the parts wouldn't be laying in front of the truck, you couldn't hit it that way backing in.
BTW, I've been doing this 25 years and I'll take as long as I need to back in safely, I'm not damaging someone else's truck that I'm gonna have to pay for. -
I agree, backing in wouldn't have knocked the liscense plate off..That was a pull out.

Practice makes perfect, along with Get Out And Look, aka, G.O.A.L. After 32+ years at this I have never hit anyone or anything and still do it.

Driver side hit? Backing in????
I have backed a few, or more than a few, tight spots when I was doing the shuttle runs. Sometimes it was so tight the clearance was an inch or two.
An inch or two may as well be a mile because there was no contact!
