Almost embarrasses to ask, but looking to work as O/O in ND oilfield and wondering if any of these trailers are 'self-contained' as far as having their own pumps/compressors? Used to pull hazmat and food grade single barrel tanks about 15 years ago as a leased O/O but had to spend about $5000. for my own pto pump/compressor set-up. Wandering if I need to do it again. tks
dumb ? about vac and oilfiels sand/salt bulk trailers

I have not seen any self contained units in oilfield service. You will sometimes see a dedicated cement bulker with a self contained setup, but not in oilfield service. You will at least need a hydropak unit at the minimum, but more than likely the complete blower setup to operate in the oilfields.
Moving on Down the Road Thanks this. -
nearly everyone has a blower on there truck my preference is a gardner denver

expect to pay if you can find one, $7-8,000 for a blower and an other $1500 or more to have it installed.
Years ago I hauled acid and the chemical company had gas powed air compressors mounted on the trailer,,I bought my own trailer and installed a air compressor on my tractor back in 86 it cost me $3K, -
at a min you will need a wet kit for sand you will need a blower. vac trailers can go eather way some have the pump itself mounted on the trailer powered by the wet kit some use truck mounted pumps.
