so you should have no problem going flatbed they will probably base you out of phoenix just let them know at orientation you want flatbed tell the fleet manager if all else fails call phoenix and tell them. If only going with a trainer for 50-100 hours you want to make sure your mentor is a flatbed driver so you dont have to go out with another mentor. you will also have to do load securement classes in phoenix

Talked to my mentor today and he is running the Taget dedicated so our loads will originate from about 5 miles from my house. Today is his day off so we are going out tomorrow to start my 240 hrs behind the wheel.

that target account is the one to get on make sure you give the terminal manager at target your info and you should be able to get on the account if they need drivers when you get out of training. You would be able to go home every night if you live that close to the terminal. and you would get paid more than being an otr driver when i left target was paying $.39 on all mt and loaded miles and they are actual miles. its coming that time of the year when they get another rush of loads and if you dont get on right away keep trying especially around thanksgiving. Do you know who your trainer is?
-
Yes I know who my trainer is I talked to him today and I have all ready talked to the terminal manager back in august and he said to let him know when I finished with a mentor.Neither one of us knew that I would get assigned there for my training. I definatly want to be on that account after training.
