Hello Truckers. I have been seriously thinking of becoming a trucker for a while. I want to work locally or do a dedicated route eventually. Anyways, I live in SE Michigan in Shelby Township. I have been researching some schools but I feel talking to the people and not recruiters is my best way to get the answers.
So far I have looked into US Trucking in Sterling heights. I am more interested in Samba Trucking in Warren. Does anyone have experience with them? The owner, Ron, seems very straight forward and to me, seems to be telling me the truth and not fabricated stories or promises of the world.
Thoughts? Really appreciate it fellas.
Be safe out there!!

I'd go with Samba. Not fancy but cheaper and thorough. Getting a local job outta school isn't going to be easy... IMO you're better off getting your 6 months to a year in otr and you might find that you actually like it

I looked into Samba also but my no worker left behind fell thru, are you paying cash, finance, or state funded? I ended up going to Coast2Coast Dave is a great guy and i enjoyed my experience there, good luck to you and keep us updated.

Did you ever end up go to Samba

+1 on coast2coast. Maximum wheel time, real drivers, minimum book time. They teach and tell it like it is.

What was the cost for them?
