Fsc is based on energy information administration's nationwide avg price (wasn't told this, I found out using math). That means when prices go through the roof in ca fsc goes up, even though the rest of the country stays the same. I've checked eia's numbers many times and it always adds up.

We don't use TCH... Our 'number' was listed on the receipt... Didn't like that since it was based on out SS#.
-
What is TCH?
-
Transportation Clearing House or something close to that....I cant remember....
Punky74 Thanks this. -
hello, ive been looking at central for their driving school. I live in Nashville Tn and just wanted to know if any of you all drive through here. Ive seen a few trucks on 40 and 65. I have always loved trucks my dad and family all drive or are o/o's. I use to take vacation an go out with dad for a week. I really miss driving i wish i had finished my cdls when i had the chance. My kids r just about out of school and the wife and i want to see alittle of the usa. could any of you drivers give me a idea of home time here for nashville. I know if u stay out for a few weeks u make more cash but just wonder if we could stop by the house if we had a load going by home. I know some people say bad things about all companies but if u love driving trucks u can make the best of it. Ive worked in factories for 16 yr the 8 to 5 or shift work gets old just like drving and dealing with the idiots in four wheelers lol. but i had to deal with it to have time with my kids. Now Im hoping i can do what ive always wanted to do.

Kev I'll be driving through Nashville in about 3hrs so yes we do go through there. If you have a load that travels near home AND you have extra time on the load it should not be a problem as long as you don't go too far out of route. When I was company I would stop at a truck stop about 20 mi from my house and the wife would come pick me up. Now I just drive home if I am close.
Hope that helps and welcome to the board -
thanks moose thats what i was thinking. Ive seen were alot of the driving was I80. I live about 12 miles from a loves on 65. So just wanted to see if they had loads southeast bound.

With the lane we are on now, we drive through Nashville weekly... But we've been with Central for two years now... Driving OTR there is no telling where you will end up, but if you stick around, you can join a dedicated fleet and / or try for more regional stuff...
