stupid question.. who typically does the physicals for the medical cards?

i mean if this guys Doctor who prescribed the medications was the one doing his DOT Physical doesn't that make the Doctor at least partially liable for this?

How do you hide medications from the doctor doing your medical card physical when everything shows up in the drug test? Unless you go cold turkey around the time of your physical, but then I would think you would have some withdrawals and not pass the physical anyways.

Erm, the only things that are tested for are illegal drugs. And there is no drug test associated with a DOT physical.

What this country needs is fewer laws and harsher punishment. If you lost your license after forgetting to turn on your blinker, I bet america would invest in some blinker fluid and extra light bulbs. If you went to prison for a rear end collision, Regardless of fault, I bet you America would look up and drive rather than look down and text. Same goes for rewards. If you drove a hundred thousand miles without a claim or accident and got a 2 cent payraise, I bet you the industry would see more million milers. Set long term goals that look too far away, and your drivers get lax and think it cant be done, throw in some short term goals and it starts looking promising. And for recruiters and such that read this, a $150 dollars for a quarter safety bonus isnt' worth it after you had to give up your high mileage load to go to a #### safety meeting. I will never understand that. You make a driver give up a load paying him 450 in mileage to go to a #### meeting that makes him elgible for a $150 dollar bonus. Not to mention, If you make your drivers do it, you don't have safe drivers, you have kiss ### drivers. If you got a driver that has a million safe miles as a owner operator, and he has a small fleet with million milers, then maybe you need to ask that driver how its done. And governors on trucks make relaxed truck drivers. If you dont have to worry about your speed, then what are you worrying about when your out in the desert. Nothing. Your daydreaming. If give them something to worry about, then you create a conscientious driver who is aware of his surrounding. Truck companies need to stop hiring Joe Blows and keep the good drivers you actually have.

Problem is, they can pay 2.5 Joe Blows the same as they'd end up paying 1 'good driver'.

[h=6]What Drugs are Tested For?[/h] Drug and alcohol compliancy programs for the Department of Transportation (D.O.T), DOT Supervisor Training, and Workers' Drug Education Programs for DOT regulated companies. Department of Transportation (DOT) and The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations call for Pre-employment testing, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and return-to duty testing. A driver must have a negative drug test result before they can be DOT qualified. The DOT test panel includes testing for the following drugs.
    AMPHETAMINE
    Amphetamine
    Methamphetamine
    MARIJUANA
    Delta-9-Carboxy THC (Marijuana)
    COCAINE
    Benzoylecgonine
    OPIATES
    Morphine
    Codeine
    PHENCYCLIDINE
    PCP.
