You do know that people who snore can't help it so what exactly do you think talking to them will do? It's a subconscious issue and to keep waking them up does nothing but stop it for a few seconds and irritate the person.

Nose plugs... for him. If that doesn't work... a rag in the mouth will (in addition to the nose plugs).
This is not a recommendation or advice to follow... it is humor. Following this advice could lead to death (yours if you wake him up while doing it) or trauma (again, yours if you wake him up while doing it). The law enforcement community also frowns on the smothering of a co-driver (no sense of humor there, eh?).
Sadly, knowing the mental competence of some of the drivers out here, a disclaimer is necessary. I'm not saying you are all dumb but,... if the shoe fits some of you are wearing it (and it's on backwards).

I stayed awake all night one time and I did not hear myself snore once!!

I had a hard time sleeping with the truck rolling,trainer gave me cd player with headphoones and I slept better
