Drivers, what do you call your semi, semi? big rig?....thanks in advance

I call it the truck. When I'm home I call it the big truck to eliminate the confusion of it and the dually. Some times when I am joking around I call it a large car. But 99% of the time it is the truck.

 

I call it what ever I feel like calling it at that moment.

I'll call it truck, tractor or big truck. Then in moments when referring to the complete unit I might call it a tractor-trailer. It's one of them things you say what ever is easier on the tongue at the moment.

For the most part it is a tractor. A tractor is designed to work by pulling something behind it. A truck you usually throw something in the bed.

 

Also often refered to by their make IE the Pete or the Kenworth, or if you want to sound like a moron you could call it "the cab" like the idiot narrator on "drama road truckers" Some even have a propper noun name.

 

I just call it my "ride" or the money maker
but when home it's refered to as dads big truck.

 

I call it Dave.

 

I call it simply a truck. When referring to it in relation to my other vehicles such as box trucks and pickups, or when describing it to others...it is a semi truck.
