He didn't say anything about CA, CARB plays by their own set of rules out there.

Let's get rid of the EPA and we dont have to worry what year is our Engine!
Cowpie1 Thanks this. -
So, since most OTR trucks would rack up considerable hours before the 10 years condition, then all they would have to meet is the 100,000 miles, and that would have happened already. So..... essentially, for the OTR truck owner, the hours are the prime standard. Once that is met, then EPA regulatory compliance falls away.
So, to answer your question, if your 2007 EPA engine has met 22,000 hours, and it has gone more than 100,000 miles, then YES, you can delete the DPF/EGR legally as far as federal compliance is concerned. CA is another can of worms and I am not considering that for what you asked.

For those of you that want the EPA to go away you do not remember driving towards every city and seeing the big brown done of polution.
The chart that says the usfull life of the polution equipment does not mean you can then remove it, that is when it may need work to stay compliant. -

Regarding the smog pollution and such of days gone by. I remember that. And the EPA in that time addressed it fine. But like most government agencies, they cannot deal with just solving a problem, they have to create more of them to solve. And then it gets out of hand. Like now.dairyman Thanks this. -
What about the sticker on the engine that says "tampering with emission equipment is a crime"? Does that sticker fall off at 22K hours?
