Hi All,
I am a South African trucker & truck owner, due to the chaos & politics here i am moving to Canada later this year. I will be going to the Regina, Saskatchewan area and want to start up a trucking company there. My plan is to buy a few tractors and lease them onto an existing fleet, buying trailers is an option also. I think this is the plan, however, I am not sure what is going to be the best way to get started in Canada so i have joined the forum hoping for some advice and suggestions in what i need to do.
Got four years experience running my own business and things are going well, just the ever-present African turmoil is getting too much for me and i don't want to raise my kids in a place where there is so much hate. I have been all over the world and have never met people as friendly and warm as the truckers in the US & Canada, I am really looking forward to making a new start in Canada and trucking down into the USA also.
Best Regards
Justin

What you said does make sense i must say, i just want to cover all my bases before making any decisions that cost me money, so sorry if any of my questions etc seem a little novice.
