I paid the pete dealership here to do mine lol. 6 day job only charged me $650. Put the wheels on that machine, machine sanded and polished everything but the frame step and deck plate. Did a decent job, I've buffed it probably 3 times since then and it looks way better now. I'll have to post up a pic from last weekend! I'll post up one of the old JB Hunt shaker I used to drive too!

My tanks and rims were acid washed and polished last spring. Is there a simple buffing technique I could use to get it back to that stage, some of it has very fine scratches from me washing mud off of it. My yard is a very dusty and muddy place.
Is there something I could apply to keep them clean longer? -
After polishing my last truck I said never again will I polish again ill hire someone. I shouldn't have gone looking for the polish after getting the new truck...lol -
Have them brightened again then polish them as soon as they dry! I use a bunch of different polishes. Just did mine with "MOJO" and so far I REALLY like the stuff. But overall I'd have to say Calafornia Custom's Purple stuff is the best out there. I use carnuba wax after they are all wiped down and whatnot. As far as upkeep when the weather is nice I go over everything once a week and it only takes me about 30 minutes. Winter time really nothing that can be done. My buddy used to spray his down with WD40 when they were clean and before he ran thru the nasty weather and it helped. But overall just keep them clean once polished. Even if it means just cleaning the aluminum
