I don't like the casual aspect, but everyone has to start at the same place once upon a time... Fuel gig pays 20.50 an hour, and no OT. 5, 12 hour shifts.

Yes, I would have guessed hauling fuel would pay more.

Haven't heard from either, so not getting my hopes up yet. Only interviews thus far. The fuel gig will always be around/stable IMO, and has the option of being an O/O someday after being a company driver long enough.

the pay isnt bad but the no overtime is just plain awful... been there for that. Some tanker gigs by me starts at 25.30 and has union benefits and pay. Raise every year. Been trying to get into that for a while now.

I've thought about putting in a few years, then trying to hire on with a cryo company, but not sure. I think going to ABF or a similar company will be a better career move for me. More bs in the beginning, but better in the long run.
