The length of the trailer is not really relevant. Generally, the combination of load and trailer can not exceed 53' without a permit. You can not get a permit if you have multiple pieces that make you exceed the legal dimension. So if the trailer was 53' you are not allowed to have a load consisting of multiple pieces that hangs off the rear.

With a 48' trailer, most states will allow you to hang off by 5' for a total of 53'. A few states do limit the amount of rear overhang regardless of trailer length, but I have never had an issue with this.

I hate pulling it due to the fact the red has faded to pink but man it's the fastest way to sling your tarps lol, I usually pull my Fontaine with a kit in the winter time. Get a little bit better fuel mileage and I like the looks of a covered wagon over the curtain. But I like the tie down system on the big bubba instead of the traditional tie downs on mine. Thanks for the compliment though!

I would be lost without J-hooks, I use the crap out of mine, and I especially like how the reitnours have slots to use them in the middle of the deck aswell...our manac's don't have that...

Oh man your not kidding!!! I really like my Renegade but not having the hooks sucks. Next trailer will defiantly have them though. Makes loading just about anything a breeze.
