Ok. So in this case I would take my time on both post and pre trips.... Heck 15 minutes is probably not enough time. Seems like it was a really bad company you were working for

Why do a post trip if someone else will be driving it next?dude6710 Thanks this. -
I'll post what happens!

Thank you. I think that some truck drivers have a brain and use it, and others just have a pea size brain and don't have a clue. It's hard to argue with someone that has no idea about what they speak of. I feel sorry for the people that don't understand that they have rights. Either way, I know I have rights and reserve the right to use them.

Again driver... there are no paper logs. It's all done on GPS, so they would be able to tell if I broke the law. I wasn't willing to chance it.

They have already stated to the OSHA investigator that I was fired for complaining to the DM about the 10 hour break. That's what they can't fire me for.

A call to the FMCSA is something to consider as well.cozy2963 Thanks this.

Just remember, right to work is a truly false statement. If you are in a RTW state, you have no rights, except to quit. The laws were written to give employers the right to terminate, at will. I love it when people say they have a right to work. Unless you are in a union shop, with a representative to go to bat for you when something goes wrong, you really are SOL.

It will either way. Once OSHA makes a determination, one of us will file an appeal... then it heads to the judge.
