Ok . So I am ready to buy my first truck ! :). I borrowed 40 k from family . I really want to pay thaT OFF ASAP :). I am 5 yr company driver and have done so much research about everything, AND i AM NOT SURE WHAT THE HELL TO BUY. Any way I look at it its a gamble. So here are my options for a truck what will run all 48 , pulling basic dry van . Please tell me what you think is the best choicee?
with least amount of problems and most likely to be dependable :)
    what do you guys think??????

    1. 2008 cascadia detroit 14 515hp 13 with 600k miles. --- $40,000

    2. 2001 classic xl non egr detroit 12.7 500hp with 240k miles on overhauled motor and clutch no blow by .--- $20000

    3. 1998 classic xl 500 Detroit D Dec- 3 ECM motor 400k miles(All Engine Components,Starter, ECM, Alt.
A/C Compressor, Air Compressor, Radiator Replaced with Crate Motor) 13 speed eaton tranny with 107k miles on it . total truck miles 1800000 --- $35000

    4. 2008 peterbilt 389 c15 475hp clean idle well maintained 492k miles, --- $36000

I am not sure whats better choice ?????

I was also thinking of buying truck on action for about 8000 and doing the complete overhaul for 24000 detroit motor... would that be dependable , I mean it comes with 3 year warranty .

ANY OPINION WOULD HELP SO MUCH.
    Thanks

Most companies are starting to require trucks to be less than 10 years old now.

if your running ALL 48 it will need to be a 2008 or newer.... as of now you can't take a 2006 into CA and as of next jan you can't take a 2007....
