Good place to do a little networking with other L/O's. Pay attention to the fuel part, where they talk about IFTA and the true cost of fuel.

76 Auto Truck Plaza, Grand Rapids MI... still artic. Where the heck is the bananna belt??? :biggrin_25510:

Saw an interesting one last night on US20 westbound, just before the exit up to the truckstops in Perrysburg OH. Looked very survivable for the driver. Lots of lake effect snow bands around last night - some guy hits some black ice underneath a patch of fresh snow in the hammer lane, and slides off into the median. The truck impacts the END of a line of Jersey barriers, ripping into the right side of the engine compartment of a Century class FL. They were trying to lift the tractor out of the mess when I went by. Lesson: Be ultra careful when moving out into the hammer lane with fresh snow on the road. It's a less travelled lane in bad weather, and you don't know what's under that snow. Better to be behind someone slower than to find out about it the way this guy did.
