kenworth speedometer repair

    The odometer and trip meter in my 97 KW has quit working, but the speedometer part of it still works correctly. I called Kenworth to see about ordering a now one and was told that kenworth no longer offers them. Has anyone had one repaired at a shop before? I think the problem is in the speedometer head because everything reads off the same sensor. I seen a rebuilt one offered on KC Truck parts website for $345 but I'd like to have mine repaired if I can.

    Mine has quit also. Ridiculous what they want for repaired or new ones without the kw logo.
    What's the turn around on this if they repair mine?

    Not sure if the one on our 96 is the speedo itself but it is hesistant and sticky under 30-40mph or so, after that its fine. I'd be interested in one of yours if it sounds like it is the speedo itself.

    It just rolled over a while back,and is probably around 1,060,000 now

    yesterday,it worked for 23 miles and then quit again.
