Well no love on getting my regular truck out of the shop so I boogied on up to KC in a loaner. Rolling well so far in January with an outside shot at 14K miles for the month (sitting at 10520 or so now). Would be far and away my best month ever. Usually try to get home at the end of the month but decided to delay until the middle of February as my wedding anniversary is during that time and it seems I have missed most of those lately so going to at least put in an effort to be there this time.

Well I made it down to my delivery in Laredo just fine. Got unloaded in about an hour. No word from Backhaul so headed up to the TA to park for the night(Tuesday). Backhaul called me at about 8 Wednesday morning with a load that delivers in Mesquite. I went and got it picked up and now I'm sitting at my delivery in Mesquite. Should get load kicked off early in the morning. Got a lot of miles to turn in when I get to the yard. Think I'll grab something that'll get me through the house. Maybe a couple days at the house and you can catch up with me on Miles for this month Majestyk(HeHe). Sounds like most everyone is still doing pretty good over here at Poly. You guys be careful out there. Take Care! :)

I ran that out on google maps and that is about the longest,,,if not THE longest 'backroads' trip one can pull off in the Great S.W., or anywhere in America. Basically backroads from SLC, to Laredo. Cool...and double cool. :biggrin_25525:

That Laredo load started in Wanatchee,WA and there were a few back roads getting in and out of that area. The drive down was filled with nice views. Really glad I caught a break in the weather. I enjoyed the load and hope I get it again some day. It was cool! :)

####, loaner truck down for the count this morning. I can about guarantee it needs a starter but the guy they sent out to look at it is a little clueless I think and I am still sitting here since 1100 and he went out on another run to fix something else and said would be back in an hour. Wasn't allowed to pull start it for some chance to damage motor so here I sit in Lawrence, Kansas awaiting my fate. A chance for you guys to catch me on miles:)

Well sure enough it was the starter and they finally decided to pull start me after 11 or so hours but oh joy the air compressor decided to shoot it's wad so now I am stuck until the morning when I suppose they will tow me in to Topeka to get everything fixed. Been a while since a breakdown but the same result it still sucks:)
