Which company offers the Best/Cheapest health insurance?????

    HI All

    I was wondering which company provides the best and most inexpensive health insurance for new drivers?? Is there any companies that will start coverage from day one or within the first month?? Ive done alot of research and im not too impressed. Seems like most of these companies are charging about 20-25 bucks a week for coverage. Im presently paying for my own Blue Cross and its 160 per month. :biggrin_2553:

    You could check into the union outfits. They offer free medical from what I understand as well as higher pay rates.

    Im just a newbie though. I dont think any union companys hire student drivers.

    Precision Motor Transport...$63/week for family. Started the 1st of the month following date of hire. My dh was hired on the 27th of the month, so coverage was in effect within the week! Most every company out there, trucking or not, starts coverage either on 1st or 15th of the month...many have long waiting periods, so we felt VERY fortunate!

    work for miller transport out of little rock ar. insurance and retirement paid.ya gotta love union jobs wonderman

    I tried looking them up. The only company i found was down in mississippi or alabama. Tanker outfit. Is that your company?

    Eastern Freightways out of North Brunswick NJ had bc/bs PPO but is now changing to United Health come Jan 1. We pay 20.00 per week for single medical, 30.00 for spouse and 40.00 for family. I do not know if they are planning on charging us more for the new insurance but as of this post this is what we are charged.
