While they're looking around, they might also look around for other naughty things... straight pipes, punched-through mufflers, overpowered or non-approved lighting... gotta ask yourselves if the benefits outweigh the risk of being caught. -
It says part of the settlement is for Edge to offer to buy back the product, but the vehicle must be put back to factory original. Sucks, big bucks! Who pays for the re-installation, Edge or the owning customer?

MetricA - I still think I may do an EGR delete on my ISX per Mr. Haney, just take the chance; the benefit outweighs the risk - hopefully.
HeavyD - EPA might say the customer knew/should know that they were breaking the rules and your lucky we don't fine them!
How would a manufacturer or distributor selling these items know who bought them? Some of the time, from warranty registration for instance, but not always. Does say 'offer to buy back', not hunt them down.
Don't you feel better knowing big brother is watching? This thread could go political fairly easily... -
Most companies include the disclaimer, "for off-road use only", or something similar. Was that not employed in this case, or was there something that made such a disclaimer void?
