What do you enjoy the most about being a truck driver?

I love being an O/O, I do things the way I want... I see new things all the time, meet lots of new friends and just have a blast !

 

You get a new challenge everyday and you don't have someone breathing down your neck all day

 

All the girlfriends we secretly have that our wives dont know about !!!!!!

 

well now that you opened your big mouth all of em that are on this site know. lol...anyone know how to get banned permanently from this site? gotta sign on under wife's name and do whatever that is.

 

DOT b/s isn't much worse than corp. but at least they aren't looking over my shoulder, literally. lol

I just like to ride around and stare out the windsheild.

 

The best part of trucking is killing the thing climbing out and going home... That is what everyone is working for.. When we leave home we have 1 important goal.. that is to make it back home safely.. So the going home part.. The driving is what it is... The freedom as one driver said.. Is evaporating faster everyday..

 

I enjoy the money from driving , bring home every night and weekend is a plus

 

i wonder if we all lose that freedom

the freedom to drive when we want, sleep when we want, eat when we want, stop and fish or do whatever else we like to do, without anyone watching us or monitoring us or telling us to go to bed, or drive, or watching us on a camera, will it still be fun? will we still enjoy it?

or will it basically become a ball and chain? pure drudgery to pay bills

seems like many of us have given up and are looking forward to the drudgery, the wonders of being on a camera, being told when to eat, sleep and drive

we even brag about how much more money we make
