With May training, only the student drives and trainer stays on duty in pass seat. So there is no team driving with trainer.
$ 90.00 day flat pay option for rookies, miles weekly wages after that? solo out.

I agree, this is just supplemental income for me now, I'm on a 6 days out, 3 days home at SNI. They can only send me so far. No east coast for me.
-
I lease onto Interstate now .. Paper logs (I love it). Im on May blogs a lot cause I still have many friends at May and some that have left.
Also want to help out newbies, since we were all their once.jomar68 Thanks this. -
Was this the same company that offered the 90 dollars a day and at the end of the training or what not they compared it to the miles you ran and what ever was greater they gave to you?
-
May offers $90 a day for first 90 days (or paid my miles). If you choose the 90/90 they will pay the difference for over milage.

Yeah, that sounds good to me: Running out West. I have a few bills but I'm single, no wife and kids to feed. so 2K per week would work at first ya know? Plus , I hate the east coast in general. Whole reson i want ot sign on with May is to get my feet wet in area of the countery I'm familar with . West. 11

Incorrect. Trainers can drive as well, however, the combined daily driving between the trainer & student cannot exceed 14 hrs.

Man I am so glad I work local after reading so many of these threads of guys talking about making peanuts. It's crazy these companies can pay so little. A couple posts back the guy broke it down perfect...you'll end up working for around $5 a hour! That's just crazy!!! I've only been driving for 8 months now and I already can make what the take home pay above was stated in one days work!
JCB & Associates Thanks this. -
Hey that sounds good. So that means after the rookie runs the 11 out you pull over or go to truck stop etc.
-
Yeah I thought of that too. You'd have to nutts to put up with that abuse for years. But, thats what you guys get when you have no more Unions.
Texas Oil fields paying 15.00 an hr. to start X's 60 or 70 hrs.
Way more $$ than OTR.Last edited: Jan 27, 2013
