no, it's terrible. get a real loadboard like truckstop.com or member's edge. People post things on uship like stuff they are "thinking about bidding on on ebay", etc... most of the stuff on there never even winds up being shipped. Horrid waste of your time. I once asked a guy who had a truck with a big rack on the top if he could measure or if the rack could be removed because I thought it would be overheight on my trailer. He said, "I shipped one like that before, it's no problem". This is a great site for people trying to ship things who don't have a clue how to ship things and people who want to haul things who don't have a clue how to haul things and are bad at math. Did I mention this site is terrible and will likely be shut down by a very large lawsuit at some point for encouraging illegal commercial hauling ?

"aww c'mon, tell us how you really feel" next time I will

I agree with danny. I don't see how any legal transporter could make money on uship because for every legal carrier there is a dozen illegals underbidding them. Uship's fees are ridiculously high, also.

I started with USHIP back in 2004. It worked perfectly in the beginning. As time went on they keep raising their fee's. Then the last straw was when they decided to create something called "uship payment" . They would pre-charge the customer and hold "my" money until the job was completed then the customer would give me a "special" code so I could contact uship to have my money released to my checking account. This just added additional fee's,this time from my bank and problems always arose if the shipper was not at completion of job. It was a total waste and after doing 30 to 40 jobs a year with them I haven;t done any in over a year. It looks like most of my competitors from those days have also moved on. Now I only see "truckers" bidding that have just sighned up or have no feedback or completed jobs. Too bad really,it was a nice site in the beginning. I tried to tell them they were making a mistake but, Matt Chasen "the founder" would'nt hear it and has very thin skin. I was frequently banned from the site simply for speaking the TRUTH.

I am sure between the TV show and all the new transporters coming in to get a piece of the easy money he is making a killing off of the fees and doesn't care one bit about retention.

I get emails from them from time to time. Needless to say "delete" is your friend.
