Congratulations on your degree but when I suggested you drive a truck for someone else for awhile it wasn't to gain business experience it was to gain trucking experience but I know what it's like to be young so all I'll say now is good luck!

Best of luck to you Freighttrain. You are in a good position, having gotten some education in business, and also having family members in the same business. As others have said, your next step is probably to get some driving experience (which it sounds like you plan on doing). You are off to a good start. There is also a ton of good information on this site, so read everything you can. It sure can't hurt as you go off in pursuit of your goal. I'm sure you'll get to where you want to be as you work your plan.

The processor gave me a list of places to get tractor inspected, does Landstar pay for the first initial truck inspection?

Well I took my drug test for Landstar and got a truck inspection done but need a new tie rod before they will pass me. Of course the freightliner in that area said it will be four days for part to arrive. Should be going to orientation soon in Reno. Nervous and excited!

GOOD LUCK! get the truck fixed, go to orentation. Its a breeze just alot of info to digest. READ THE BOOK! The first few months are kind of tough learning the ropes and which agents to work with after that youll find agents start to call you. Dont be scared to ask questions either from the office or here. Other Bcos are a wealth of info and my buddies are the reason i do so well they helped me learn the ropes. Again good luck
