Christians are NOT perfect. We are just human beings that are trying hard. Unfortunately, we occasionally (or in my case quite often,) fall short of the goal. But we keep trying.
I've known way too many folks and companies that "trade" on "being Christian." When you deal with them, it doesn't take long to see if they are real or not.
On another note here, to address the posts about living in Utah. . .
When I first came to Utah in the early '90's I would agree that if you were not a member of what is locally known as "the predominent religion" you did not stand much of a chance. However with the influx of all of us non LDS folks, things are changing.
I've worked for companies that were obviously owned by LDS folks that were IMO crooked as hell. But I am currently working for one that is a very upstanding, law abiding, Christian Principled company.
Of course there are some LDS folks who are money grubbing, dishonest, conniving theives. But there are many more who are true Christians and upstanding citizens. I am not of the LDS faith, but I have no problems in living and working amoung those that are.

I wonder how many of those folks who've posted in this thread claim to be Christians themselves. Probably the same ones who pray daily for safety for themselves and their family while on the road then 2 seconds after saying "Amen" get on the CB with an endless string of f-bombs or indulge in other questionable personal behavior. Don't expect a company to behave in a way you're not willing to do yourself.

I have been bent over more times by people/companies who TELL me they are Christians. IF they have to tell you that to bolster themselves, watch them! Using the Lord to help fool others into trusting you, I'm sure, will not go good for them when they are judged to be sure. Now when I am about to do business with someone and they TELL me they are Christian (hoping I trust them then), I won't do business with them. I am a Christian, but I do not run around thumping people over the head with it, hoping they trust me; I live my life and show it in ACTIONS, not words.

good post WiseOne i guess i,d have a few questions ahead of time, like you advertize as a christian co. then you dont mind if i log legal, and call em on their recruiting lies. anyway seems like everyones a christian these days with their own oppion of what it means.

Afer getting deadheaded to Indianapolis when I got the mail a few days later included in it was a separation letter from Covenant. And its quite strange because after firing me now they are sayinbg I quit. So not only are they hypocrites but they are outright liars too.
-
Well I certainly know what your saying. Log books happen to be...a Federal document, the word Federal alone should scare the witts out of you....but these trucking companies do not care, oh they say they do, but nope they don't.
I like your post, and it has a lot of truth in it.
Take care, God bless and stay safe.

Wouldn't you rather have your employment record with them indicate that you quit versus being fired? That would play in your favor when looking for another job.
-
Yeah I would rather have them say I quit but they did that just so I couldn't collect unemployment if I wanted too. I have seen them do the same thing to other driver. They do it all the time. They even make you work in hometerminal if you get hurt on the job just so they don't have to pay workmans comp

unemployment? in trucking? first I ever heard of that.
Anyway, did the DAC report thing..I thought it was totally useless through the company advertising on this site..$40 I think for a list that just said "text"...not what it contained
