Because you'll still be high after your 10 hour break.

Hair grows at 1/2" per month, if your hair is over 2 inches ling then you are looking at 4 months worth of evidence. BNSF railroad says in their prehire information to ensure you have at least 1 1/2 inches of hair so they can go back 90 days. Urine test used to only work for THC up to 30 days but that was 20 years ago I am sure they are a lot better now. Honestly 45 days is not long enough to risk it. I would say once you are clean a good 6 months then try. I agree with what everyone else said about no need for it in any type of business but especially trucking. Congrats on the first month and a half.

I sent him a private message with a few links disproving his statements.

Turning to lsd and coke for a "different" high. Not to mention what ive witnessed as an EMT for 8 years.

As for this, I too have someone who wakes and bakes every day in my family, hes not addicted, hes a loser. Yeah I called my brother a loser. He would rather get high and stay high all day than find a steady job. Maybe your friends are losers just like him. Maybe they just want to slide on through life and depend on others.

Bottom line is that if you are a professional driver, (trucks, buses, taxicabs, limousines, etc), alcohol and drugs must be 100% out of the picture for the health and safety of both yourself and all others around you.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Hair can be collected from more places than just the head

I have heard of places that will not hire, or terminate if you are unable to take their tests

And therein lies the crutch of every single person lobbing out judgments about drivers' past when it comes to pot. In the time I've been a member of this forum I've not seen one argument where a driver says pot has any "business in trucking." You, and others, use this as a false negative defense when no one (at least I have yet to see or read it here) has ever argued otherwise. That being said, I think booze should be banned as well for drivers as it too, has "no business in trucking" and no amount of personal opinion will ever convince me otherwise.

Seems to me alcohol is pretty much banned, Since truckers are held to a lot tougher standard than other drivers.
