Some of the comments on here really tick me off!
Some of you have NO CLUE!!
I DO NOT eat a lot of fast food, junk food, etc.! When I go to McD's I'm getting the side salad, not the big salads with all the gunk in them, I get the SIDE salad. If I have it, I'll add a tablespoon of sunflower seeds for protein and I use VERY LITTLE dressing (they give you enough to do 3 or 4 salads, at least). I RARELY have soda, usually have water.
I am NOT over weight because I am gorging myself on multiple quarter pounders or whole large pizzas!
I have a medical condition that effects my metabolism. The treatment does NOT reverse the effects, only stabilizes. Loosing weight is EXTREMELY difficult to do!!! Believe me, I do EVERYTHING I can to try.
I do NOT have high blood pressure, I do NOT have diabetes, I have had a stress test and there was NO sign of any issues developing.
I have stacked 80-100 lb bales of hay (can't do it at the moment because a ram messed up my back, working on it), worked horses from the ground, rounded up horses on foot, lug 40-50 lb bags of feed. All this with out a problem. Oh, but I'm a fat, lazy, slob, who does nothing but sit on my butt and eat bon-bons all day?!
Not saying there aren't some fat slobs out there who fit that description, BUT I'M NOT ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!!! So, if you happen to see me, or someone like me, don't just ASSUME that we are one of those fat slobs. -
I hear you I have. A low testosterone deficency which slows down my metabolism in which I gain weight but my bp and sugar always check out fine sobyea I get it

You can still keep your CDL without a medical card. When you get the form, read it. It tells you which box to check if you want to keep the endorsement without a current physical. If you want to drive again, all you have to do is get a new physical and turn a copy of your card into the DMV, with an upgrade form, and you'll be good to go.

OK we understand there are people with medical conditions that don't allow them to lose weight easily. Not every heavy person has high blood preasure or diabetes or sleep apnea. (notice I said heavy not overwight or fat). That being said if I was forced into making a snap judgement you would still wind up as the anchorman on my tug-o-war team.KentuckyReject Thanks this.

You have recognized half of the problem. I commend you for your discipline. The physical activity that you mentioned unfortunately does nothing to address the real issue. You need to burn fat, you will always be on the losing end of trying to turn fat into muscle. Make your body fight its-self, that takes cardio. You need your heart rate elevated for at least 30 minutes at a time a few times a day. That will make your body eat its own fat and more importantly your heart will thank you for it.

what's with all guys from AZ commenting on how to lose weight, and having tug-o-war teams?

Spoken like someone who hasn't had much dealings with livestock or their needs. (Boy, did me and my "horsy friends" have a field day at Dr. Phil's expense when he said "horseback riding isn't exercise". And I never even mentioned the riding aspect here!) Oh, and by the way, use to have a gym membership where I faithfully went nearly everyday. Treadmill was a daily routine. I STILL did not drop the weight any where near as quickly as someone without my condition. Working the horses has been just as effective for me as the gym membership. Only it's more fun, and cheaper.

I guess with the nice weather we just want to get out and be active.
Meltom Thanks this.
