Study your Drivers Manual, all the questions about pay periods and rates are answered in there. My training period was a flat rate/week, $450, which I thought was pretty good.

I would, except the driver's manual is on a CD-ROM and guess what... My computer doesn't have a disc drive >=[

Marky, insist on driving or being on duty as much as possible. My trainer was having me go off duty while sitting at troublesome receivers and taking days off driving to avoid hitting the 70 hour mark, but all it's doing is hurting my paycheck. She also refuses to drive at night, so if we don't have a load for the night time drive, I don't drive. This coming paycheck for last week's pay period came out to $104 net. Oh, also add in home time as well. I'm infuriated how it all fell into play like that, and the bad thing is, I'm sitting in Colorado waiting on a load for two days now.

Very boring day. Had to do another physical, swift paid for it. Have to get the release for my meds faxed up here. Ran into a milling ton classmate in the yard doing an34 hr restart along with doing his midterms, he said he got 100%. Hes with an O/O in a blue T700 kenworth. Got to see the cab but not the whole cab. Should know Wednesday at the latest what's happening. Boring videos and have hazmat homework :(

For the time you are with the Mentor you are paid Min. wage for your state. I talked to several people about this. It was explained to me that if the trainie wants to get paid they drive. Unlike the old system they get paid regaurdless driving or sleeping. Min wage for on duty min wage plus $1/hr for onduty driving.

yeah.. training pay has changed since november. also, you can take your handbook disk to any kinkos, or whatever printing, copy place, and have them burn it for you. i went and had to show proof i worked with swift(show comdata card) due to some copyrite law.
