It's not a smart remark. Like you said, you voiced your opinion, I voiced mine and it (my remark) indicates a prejudice some drivers (not you, thanks to your clarification, obviously) hold regarding pot while failing to recognize same (worse actually, but that's another subject entirely) for alcohol. My apologies if you feel it is lashing out at you. I assure you it isn't. I've read every one of your posts in this thread. Riddle me this ... where does such a mindset originate that one must tell others there is no place for pot in trucking? Without further clarification (as you provided in this quoted and latter post) such an inference is not only implied but conveyed. Oth, I applaud your good sense for realizing (and confirming) as much in regard to operating a motor vehicle and again, apologies for taking it in a manner you did not intend. Not all things come across as intended with the written (typed) word, especially in chat and posting forums. Some subjects need additional clarification.Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
.
Where did you get that idea? It's completely legal and acceptable for drivers to show traces of alcohol in their urine and blood. -
Well you go out and drive YOUR truck while you've been drinking ...The rest of want to make sure and avoid the state that your doing it in. So when you do....how 'bout a heads-up.....OK

I don't drink or smoke, driver. Please don't shoot the messenger. The regs don't allow for anything over 4.0 for a commercial driver. Below that and you're fine. Your argument is with the feds. Personally, I don't believe ANY amount should be tolerated. Why is it when one comments about drugs or alcohol there is a segment of drivers who always have to believe and assume the worst of the commenter? -
.04... but honestly I had heard a rumor that I was basing my comment off of. After doing some research the rumor I heard was incorrect. With all of that being said I think a .04 while operating a commercial vehicle is crazy, It should be no alcohol at all while on duty.
