I work for pumpco out of cleburne Texas. And that's an example of our day schedule and it may seem like exaggerating but that's exactly how my last hitch went. You must not have much experience with frac cause that's how most companies around here work. I don't know many frac hands that don't average 16 hours a day. I also said in my previous post that I live an hour from the yard so if I work a 17 hour day plus drive time to and from work that leaves me with five hours a day at home.
Great jobs in Texas

My apologies bud, I don't know why I said that, lol. You are correct, I don't do frac. I work on pulling units for the most part doing acidizing. There is a ton of that kind of work out here. We use 2 inch iron instead of the 3 or 4" you guys use. And the kinds of jobs we do are pretty varied. Highest rate we'll ever see is like 9 bbl/min realistically. Usually more like 4 or 5. So it's a different game that's for sure.
What had me confused is that you're doing jobs every day, so I thought you must be doing regular acidizing like me... Our frac fleet will do like 1 or 2 jobs a weeks and those jobs will all take over 24 hours. So they don't have a regular schedule where they're clocking in every morning and coming home every night, except for days they're spending at the yard for the most part. We both work for the same company, btw (superior energy). I went to pick up one of your frac pumps one time. It was an automatic western star. Our whole frac fleet are automatics. I don't get it.
Yall stayin busy right now? -
We have a contract with EOG so we go from pad to pad and we never shut down unless coil tubing comes out. Right now were fracing seven days a week so it's good. We only have a few of those new pumps most of them have gone to west or south Texas.
gbz Thanks this. -
Well it would seem that I wasn't out of the running for the Key driver trainee job after all; I start orientation on Monday. Thanks again, Ben Gunn!

Thanks gbz; when do you start at Sanjel?
-
Congratulations on the selection. Are you going to commute from Lubbock or able to find housing in work area?hunnydew Thanks this.
-
Thanks, Patt; no I'm not going to commute because I actually live another 30 minutes on the other side of Lubbock and that'd just take too much of a chunk out of my sleep time....it's 14 hour days at that yard. Seminole is kind of like Midland in that there is a big shortage of housing so I'm going to haul my RV up there and rent a lot at a campground for 350, including wifi and all utilities.

Price seems in line if it is a decent place. I had heard from others in that area that even RV spaces are almost non existent. Sounds like you have it covered though.

I've already started with Sanjel im on my 2week orientation right now...
