I bought a 2005 t600 for cheap since block is junk long story short the guy cutting the counterbores didn't know what he was doing and block is junk. I found a brand new celect plus factory 525 but i want to know how involved switching from CAT to Cummins would be. Mounts and hoses aren't the problem what i'm unsure about is the wiring any help would be appreciated
C15 to N14 swap ?

No direct answer, BUT Kustom Truck could probably tell you and or sell you what you need.

Just put a new block in it. Or better yet the guy that ruined yours should be responsible for replacing it. Gonna have to rewire the dash as well if my memory serves me correctly to put a Cumapart in it. You'd save money by putting a new block in it. Just my .02

How thick was the block cut when the counterbore was done wrong? What size shims was he trying to cut for?

Last year we had looked at going from a C12 in one of my KW to a Cummins, as much as I like Cummins it was easier and cheaper to repair what I had.

Mawk Industries is the company to which others have resorted for adapter wiring harnesses to change engines, going from mechanical to electronic or vice versa, and installing a different engine than a truck came with.
Variations of this question have been asked before. Other viewpoints expressed in the thread have merit, as well.bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
i bought the truck knowing block was junk, the seller bought it last summer but in december started getting oil in coolant replaced oil cooler and problem didn't go away so was trying to save a couple dollars and was doing head gasket in his barn . truck had 640K so he decided to just do the whole in-frame while the head was off. The guy that attempted to cut the counter-bores is one of those mobile parts changers he ended up paying for his mistake but the owner of the truck wanted a truck with a series 60.
Did some research and i'm probably gonna end up using an MXS i have, convert it to single turbo, and send the ecm to Kurt much simplerthan having to rewire a dash -
Mind telling a guy where the N14 is if your not going to buy it?

Don2WS, I'm in WI also looking for an N14 crate motor, wondered if you haven't taken the engine if I could get the info PM'd.
