Wow, some pretty severe winds whipping across I-80 in Wyoming. Only got about 12K in the box and I took a pretty good beating. Made it over to Rawlins and refueling the tank and stomach and resting for a bit. Hoping the remaining journey is a little less windy:)

Well made it across that nasty wind tunnel today and ran her all the way to West Wendover, NV. Got the grill fired up with some chicken and steak cooking for a little celebration. May get in a little late night poker as well:)

I delivered my last stop in Tifton just fine Tuesday morning. No word from Backhaul so went back to the Pilot at the 60 on 75. Called Backhaul around noon and they were still working on getting me something. Decided to hit the Walmart for some stuff I've been needing. Finally a call from Backhaul just before 4. Info. for new load was a Dal Tile load needing picked up in Fayette,AL. Not a place I thought I might go. Wasn't excited about the hours on the load either. Up early to deliver then sat all day and then given a 400 mile dead head that needed done that night. Oh well, made it out in BFE,AL to the shipper around 1 in the morning. Got loaded Wednesday morning with no issues. Load delivers Thursday in Sunnyvale,TX. Not a bad deal after all. Decided to take it easy so made it back into Louisiana and shut down for tonight. Should be able to finish the load in plenty of time. Guess I'll have to get a PM when I get to GP. Hope I can get in and out on it ok. Also hope to get through the house with my next load. Ready for a few days off. Miles have been good and it's time to go home for a few days. Hope everyone is doing ok out there. Take Care! :)

Hey I have delivered to that dal tile in Sunnyvale with Crete. They do have overnite parking and pretty fast at getting you unloaded.

applied at poly and got email saying my employment has been verified and it has been handed over to the HR manager, said he would contact me if interested. not sure if i should call or wait. also if i dont get in have you guys came across any other good otr companys in your search before poly?, there are a few i looked at but most seem to be doing shorter and shorter runs, the ones who do longer runs only pay 33cpm or so. i just know that when your not spending every day loading and unloading the miles are better but it seems most companys are going regional. any ideas? thanks, be safe.

I would send a reply to the email acknowledging you received it & say thank you. Then if you get no further contact in two weeks send a follow up email asking for the status of your application.

As for other companies, look at Savannah Transport. I think there out of KS. It's a small company with low turnover that hauls a lot of haz-mat.

That may be true. I suggested them because of an acquaintance who's husband drives for them & really likes working there. Don't think I'd want to work for that rate though.
