Just confirmed the pay rate at Savannah Transport. .34 per mile with .10 of that paid as per diem. Makes me appreciate my pay rate even more.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

See, it's not all lollipops & roses here at Poly. -
We all know nothing in trucking is all lollipops and roses. I know I enjoyed my time at Crete. I still believe they are the best Big trucking company out there to drive for. Always have to weigh the Pros and Cons with every driving position. I know for me that Poly is the Best driving job I've had by far. I've worked at a few big companies in the few years I've been driving. I'm still glad I made the move to Poly-Trucking. I just wish I would've found them about 10 years sooner! Take care out there!Last edited by a moderator: Feb 1, 2013

The roses & lollipops comments are meant for a poster on a different thread who reads this thread, & commented on the other thread that he believes we are lying because we never write negative comments about our company. Just my way of being tastefully snarky by using the truth. Especially since I made it a point at the beginning of this thread, & on the previous thread, that Poly is not perfect & may not be for many drivers.
In fact, I had a conversation with HR in which they hired a driver & during orientation the driver realized that he would have to do his own trip planning (no QComm routing or fuel stop planning, no elog) & quit. With drivers like this coming down the pike, I'm just shaking my head. -
"he would have to do his own trip planning (no QComm routing or fuel stop planning, no elog) & quit."
These are great reasons to apply! -

Things continue to improve as I learn the system a little better. Being able to accumulate a lot of extra stops now as well since I don't need to turn in paper work every week.
Miles
October 9753 ----- Avg. length trip: 1083 (6 extra drops)
November 9931 ---- Avg. length trip: 1103 (14 extra drops)
December 11118 ---- Avg. length trip: 1235 (12 extra drops)
January 13140 --- Avg. length of trip: 1460 (11 extra drops)
Extrapolated out for year: $67746 (gross) with the 600.00 phone pay added. -
yes they are good reasons to apply, surprising how many drivers cant think for themselves, i work with a few.

The two biggest things I dont miss about OTR company driving are Elogs and that #### On Guard! Every now and then I get On Guard on a truck I am delivering and I am thankful it is only for a few days. The testing trucks we drive have People Net installed on them but we dont have logins or passwords so I dont have to deal with them.
