I do thank you insane for the input. However I am a single guy with only about 500 a month in total expenses. I do understand the pay probably will not be all that great at first, but the sole reason in doing this is to obtain my cdl, and some otr experience, in hours to get a local job a few years down the road. Trucking is something I've always wanted to do and I've put a whole lot of thought behind this and, let's be honest I'm not getting any younger. However I am young enough to start a new chapter in my life.

Are there veteran truck drivers working for May??

I'm heading to Central at the end of February, unless the local vo-tech decides to offer their CDL program in April. I'm still leaning towards Central though. Best of luck to ya.

Hey there unloader, It sounds as if we'll prob meet up in school. Ill more then likely be leaving towards the end of Feb as well. Wouldn't mind making a friend while down there or possibly going through school with someone, it'd be easier to study and what not with someone you know. I would be lying to you if i said i wasn't scared outta my mind. Like you im ready to take the leap and go for it. Im really not doing this as a last resort as most people seem to think. I really want to get some OTR experience as that's what most ALL the local trucking jobs in my area are looking for. To be quite honest i'd much rather gain that experience as single male with next to nothing in out of pocket expenses as in bills and no children. Then i would trying to obtain while providing for a family. Look forward to hearing back from you.
