    SNI?
    Schneider?
If so, Maveric bought them out years ago.

yes Schneider. Maverick bought them out in 2004, but they now have flatbeds again hauling for Home Depot DC's.

Charleston, SC and Columbus, OH are there two big accounts I've seen. They usually pull the flat with a fork truck on the back.

    Ahhh ok.
I was leased to SSC many many years ago when they had the big trailers, then a friend of mine called and told me they sold SSC to Maveric. Couldn't believe it.
They used to have a few good company drivers on SSC, but forced them all to go to Maveric after the sale.

the only thing ive seen england haul on flatbeds is the pods but i cant imagine that account pays too much. But they do look like gravy to haul. since im new to flatbedding and trucking in general with only a year in im all for everyone getting a chance but i will say that i feel for the o/o's that it affects when it comes to rates

I forgot pods is trash freight basically you right, still it was jarring to see one pulling anything that requires thought, even if it is just six straps.

What I was surprised to see was a train hauling CRE containers. They were refer containers, 53' long and it was in California. The train had hundreds of them along with JB and Swift cans....

    funny story
Talked to a Swift driver some months back, I swear he was on meth or something.. all jittery and could barely form sentences, but he told me he was thinking about transferring to driving flats with Swift (dont see them often, but saw about 5 in a row one day pulling bus chassis to Thomas Built in NC). After that he said and I quote! "So I heard CR England is pulling flatbeds now.. thats a scary thought, thinking about those guys pulling loads like that!" I had to bite my tongue so hard to keep from laughing or saying "thats some big talk coming from a SWIFT driver!"

A guy at the counter the other night said the no compete that Schneider had after selling out to Maverick has expired. No idea if its true its just what some guy was saying.

I saw a CRST truck pulling a glass trailer. I did a load of pods last year from Denver to St. Paul. They paid really well.

With the fork on the back isn't DC load. It's store to job site. And worse yet, it's driver unload!
