I think flipping trucks may be a hard way to make a buck unless you have some people waiting that know your skill level.

I mean no disrespect to you at all but I would not buy a truck from you. I have no idea if you know what you're doing or if you do good work.

I want to say again that is not a knock on you. You may very well be an excellent mechanic. Lots of dollars to throw around if a person doesn't know.

I understand that, I guess it will be best to sell it locally so that they can test it out and everything, but anyways a was just trying to get estimates on what the truck is worth I mean I know what to price it at I just wanted other peoples opinions

$15k would be your top dollar. The auto trans hurts the sale by about $5k in the used truck market. Even tho it had a rebuild, I'm guessing you did it yourself?? Therefore there is no warranty...... I'm sure you can find someone to buy it, just going to take a while. Not many care for a C12 with an auto, just not good specs for OTR hauling. I hope you prove us all wrong tho !!

why not just put it to work?? You already know everything you've done to it, get to driving !!

Well I think I can get more and I will keep you posted and soon should get some pics and Yes I rebuilt it the rebuild kit has a 2 year warrenty on it and I am going to give whoever buys it a 30 day if anything goes wrong I will fix it for free, And thing about the auto tran I Can change it to manual pretty easily so I might do that if the auto don't sell I thought about going back to driving but I just don't know, Its just not for me I did it for a year. Thanks for letting me know what you think I do appreciate it. tuesday or so I will be posting to sell it so I will get some pics to show you guys

No offense, I'm sure you are a great mechanic, but the rebuild means nothing if it was not done by a CAT certified dealer. If it does go bad in say 6 months and one of the rebuild parts fails, the buyer is still going to have to fix it out of pocket. CAT will not warranty the rebuild. So to a potential buyer, it is a million mile truck

as for the auto-trans, I'm guessing it is a Eaton Auto-Shift Gen 1 or 2 with the three pedal setup?? If so, all you have to do is get the parts for the shifter and remove the X-Y controller and such. Just keep it as an auto but if it does cause problems for the sale, switch it over or tell a potential buyer that u will make the switch if they want it done.

    Heavyd Thanks this.

Changing an auto to a manual is a big deal. Easier to swap the entire trans than to try to swap parts to manually shift one. I looked at changing an 18 speed AS2 to manual and I just purchased another trans as its probably s $5k plus exercise to make it work. I have owned 3 of them. Never again.
