I Start With Averitt in January 2012

Well scheduled the interview for Monday in Montgomery! I hope all goes to plan this time, still gotta work out a 2 weeks notice with my current company, glad Averitt was understanding of that. All my military experience and recent job experience was able to qualify me for the Refresher Program! So Monday hopefully we can all get on the same page and put a plan into action!

Indeed! I really want OTR looking forward to making the swap and crossing paths with all of yall!, crossing fingers for this interview to work out! So do yall use paper logs at Averitt or Digital? Just curious

 

We are in a process of converting to digital logs. The older units are running paper while the newer units are digital.

 

There may be some older OTR trucks left out there without elogs, but for the most part everything is going electronic within the foreseeable future.

 

Okay! I was wondering because I'm running a paper log currently but if the DOT officer is "one of those guys" I hand em my laptop instead and get that "get outta here look" But overall I'm ready to make the swap to mileage pay over weight pay, it's not good when you have no control over how much your loaded, but that's the forestry world I suppose.

 

What type of trucks is Averitt using today?

 

All the new ones lately have been Freightliner Cascadias and Volvos.
