im sorry, but there is no such thing as a "very very good driver" that hits a low bridge. i understand sticking up for your employee, but thats just ridiculous. the only driver who hits a low bridge is a very very BAD driver, unless of course he was in the middle of a stroke, heart attack, or some such medical emergency. talmadge should lose his business for that statement alone...hope the lawsuit is huge.

Every fall with the start of colleges, in the Boston area,several rental trucks hit the Storrow Drive Bridge.

But those are probably (hopefully!) non CDL folks who have never been in anything bigger than a SUV before.
You would have to be staring at a GPS for a long time, longer than is safe, to miss the signs from a distance, and any experience at all would give you the feeling that a clearance may be close. -
Sorry, there are good, and dam good drivers that just happen to have a stupid moment. Now they aren't good drivers any more!
