I have a good dispatcher who takes great care of me and I'm getting more $$ per mile than I would get elsewhere. Probably the two biggest reasons I'm stil here.
Starting pay at Bynum is 32 cents.
Starting pay at Oakley depends on if you have your hazmat. If you do, non-hazmat loads are 36 cents. If you don't, it's 34 cents. Hazmat loads are 43 cents. -
That is some cheap A Poo right there. At least let you get 50 gallons for a shower.

That's where they want the teams to run flemington nj set wait on empty then the ports to get short loads to pay fuel we have pulled loads from port Wilmington back to flemmington
-
Wait on empties they use to let teams steal empties from drivers who already waited cuz teams had "priority" then deadhead back to florida.. Guess only the special teams get that treatment. -
they took my dm jeri out of dispatch my new dm is alex in clovis which makes no sense being I live in winter haven anybody have him as dispatcher hope he keeps me running like jerri just went to californiathen to washington then all way to bradenton fl then home for couple days yall be safe out there

the system is actually better now.. before we could only pump 150gal max in all states except Ga, Il, Ny, Ca, and Canada we were only allow'd 100gal.. now we can actually FILL at the 45 stops that are in the book.. We were never allow'd to fill.. Not even at the terminal, not unless you used the terminal fuel card.. but then they took that away from us so we could only pump 150gal at the terminal.. i was always on the light when i came into the terminal, and couldn't get a full tank until SC on my way out.
I mean it's gonna be bothersome for most, but since i only run NorthEast it works out fine for me cause Pembroke is one of the 45, and i can get a little taste in New Milford.. -
At least when you could still get 150 gallons except in those four states, if you needed fuel at the end of your day and already planned on going on break at a certain Pilot or Flying J, you could get fuel, go to bed, get up the next morning, get more fuel, and have two full tanks to start your day with. Then you could run all day and have enough fuel left in the tanks at the start of the next day to fill em both right back up. My empty light hasn't been on in so long I almost don't remember what it looks like. I always try to go on break somewhere where I can log a pretrip and a fuel stop at the same time. Fewer lines to draw, and I don't have to stop anywhere for the whole day if I don't want to. I love running that way and I hate stopping. I guess that dream is dead now.

That's one reason I was so perplexed when you started talking all that nonsense about how you didn't think you were getting enough physical activity at this job...when you run the way I like to run there's no time for all that except for right after you wake up and right before you go to sleep

If that's where they want teams to be then the teams can have ALL of that up there. If I never go north of VA or east of Ohio again for the rest of the time I'm at IRT, whether I'm here another year or another 10 years, I will not shed the first tear.
