I have a family of four, covered by Maverick's Group Plan with United Healthcare. Cost is $100/wk ($400/month). As a Currently Licensed and now former Insurance Agent, I can tell you its a really good plan, yeah-its 100/wk, but it was still less $ than a lot of other companies' Health plan costs that I checked out, and compared to an INDIVIDUAL Health Ins.policy (if you went out and bought H.I. on your own-not part of a group) it is WAY LESS $ than you will pay doing it that way, AND a better policy too. I think that if you just get yourself (Individual) covered on Maverick's group policy it was like $75/wk?? Don't remember, maybe one of the other guys who is enrolled himself only can chime in here.
Baskt_Case Thanks this. -
Thanks again jxu417! -
No problem. Happy to help.

$35/week for "single person" coverage
Baskt_Case and jxu417 Thank this. -
I pay $85 a week for just health for me and my wife, and about $40-$50 a week for all of the other insurance I carry such as dental, vision and disability ect. I agree, the insurance cost and features aren't bad at all!
Baskt_Case and jxu417 Thank this. -
Yeah, just enjoy it and use it while we still have it fellas.... I fear that soon Health Insurance benefits will go the way of the dinosaurs. Not gonna say anymore than that even though I could rant for pages on this sore topic.

recruiter told me that health, vison, dental, rx etc should run about 50 a week for a individual

I kinda feel like a dunce, I eventually found this info on the Maverick main site. You have to click on "Driving Jobs", then click on one of the "FAQ" links on the left side of the screen under the various divisions.
They sum it up as follows...
When can I get medical benefits and how much do they cost?
"Health and dental benefits are available to you the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. For example, if you are hired on May 21st, then the first of the month after this falls on June 1st; 60 days from June 1st is August 1st. So, you would be eligible for benefits on August 1st. Coverage is offered at $35.00 a week for individual or $100.00 a week for family."
None the less, I think its good we've discussed it in a little more detail, and at least got the thread in here now for others who are trying to find the info.jxu417 Thanks this.
