Name one time i defended may. I defended my self. ENTRY LEVEL COMPANY WITH ENTRY LEVEL PAY? HA! ask your self then why a driver who btw has been on this board longer then you even been trucking would possibly stay? If what you say is true?

Steve I left May cause after 4 years of faithful service, as an O/O i was bringing home maybe $800 a week after all expenses .. At Interstate, the least has been $1,450 and most $2,100 with an average of 1,700-1,800 a week. You call it steps, I call a hell of a lot more money.
-
Just cause someone has been on this thread longer or driving longer doesn't mean you know more. You have been with one company many years. You cant say anything about others you don't work for. Period!
-
I'm waiting to get loaded with w(h)ine here in Cali. When they're done I will ask them for some cheese
-
Calm down man. I NEVER SAID INTERSTATE WAS BAD!!!! they are a great company in fact! I never said anything bad about them. I just said they are no "better then may" and I have had a great experience here. If i went to work with interstate I believe i would also have a great experience over there, ya picking up what I'm putting down? SAME WITH GORDON or any of them..
They are all TL companies some would say ken to one another! If i lived where you do most likely i would be working for none of them I would be at oak harbor, ups freight or one of those ltl i5 corridor companies. There are a list of companies to write home about INTERSTATE is still not one of them! MAY INCLUDED. I have had a great experience over here that don't mean every is going too.. -
PLease do quote one thing I said about "interstate" that was bad. have fun looking for something that I never said!
And your right.. Experience has nothing to do with time as much as it has to do with being willing to learn from ones experience. Time just allows for more to happen, if you choose to learn nothing then what good was that experience right? -
Then let people who have a problem with may vent. Glad you've been in trucking for however many years and have however many accolades. Just be careful not to hurt yourself patting yourself on the back. I have only been in this industry for almost a year. It has its ups and downs, who cares. I too have accolades and awards from my last job but since I couldn't find work in that field then none of them mean a thing. Just because I've arrested people for murder, had huge drug arrests and was recognized by my work ethic does not mean that I was a better officer than others. Same goes with this industry. Let a mofo vent
FXDLTRUCKA98 and Paloma Thank this. -
And for what it is worth I was laid off as a cop not fired lol
-
Nothing wrong with you leaving bro. If i was making 800 a week I would leave too! I HEAR YA! You did what you had to do! But why not work for fedex freight or UPS freight? Same money your making now. No LIABILITY with owning and better bennys and a retirement? Did i mention there home every night also?Last edited: Feb 5, 2013

This is entertaiNing. I will add people ask me joker why are you still here. Well idk that answer. May has treated me good. Do they piss me off sometimes. Yes. But I sat 6 days in january and still grossed 5600 the month of jan. Can I make more yes. But as of now I'm happy. I'm single with very low bills. Do I see myself here in 5yrs. Idk. Everyones experience is different. Is 60 slow. Yes. But I've been driving that speed since I started. I'm not defending steve or paloma but as of now I'm fine where I'm at. I told myself I'll never leave may for another otr company. It's the same bs everywhere just different flavors. I'll leave when I find a local job when I want one that pays what I feel I deserve.
