It will have to be either a tandem or triaxle. And you need to double check on their bridge law. No spread.
stoyan Thanks this. -
Spreads ARE allowed, weights may be reduced.Last edited: Feb 6, 2013

Spreads are allowed, but the standard 10'2" spread in the US gets reduced in Canada to 10k pounds per axle. That is why most guys run a sliding rear axle, so you can close them up and run as a tandem. Or, if you plan on going up there often, go with a tri-dem and then you can even haul hearier in the Us if needed. just make sure you get it with a lift axle.
stoyan and Mommas_money_maker Thank this. -
SHC, you are generalizing when you say "Canada">in essence what you are saying is incorrect. 10' spreads are allowed and welcome in ON, PQ, NB, NS, PE and NF. It is the four Western Provinces MB, SK, AB and BC that have a weight restriction when 10' spreads are used. The restriction is that the TOTAL weight of the trailer axles can't exceed 10 ton/20,000 lbs.stoyan Thanks this.

Thanks for your responce. Do you know, whats the legal overhang from the rear axle?
-
Where/what Province and on what length of trailer? If it's a multiple piece load, loaded end to end on a 53'>most places no overhang
-
I believe its a 10 ft limit.

Yes, but the OP asked about Western Canada, not the eastern prov's. that's what I was replying about.
