If you want to be treated like ####, not trained worth a ####, and get cussed by dispatch. I say go for it. Im quitting as soon as I get hired somewhere else.
I cant speak for all the terminals, Idaho Falls was good to me when I was broke down there. But new drivers, in memphis, are basically treated like unwanted stray dogs.

For starters the so called trainer drove worse than a rookie, me. He cussed me everyday andtreated me like scum of the earth. So I stood up for myself and told him I wasnt moving the truck till he learned some respect. After that he tried to get me fired by lying to the dm about me. Dude forgot he had a dash cam on during the ordeal, so I played it back for the dm. After that, I was sent solo. The dispatcher Jake started to do the same crap. Once again I stood my ground. Apparently the dm had enough and told me to quit or get fired. So I quit.

Hey man sorry to hear that. Some dispatchers should have more consideration as to what type of work we do out here. You know, I've learned a thing or two about otr trucking. One of the two things is that every major otr outfit is the same. The second is that when dealing with an otr outfit that treats you badly, you can't fight it, because you'll loose. The only power you do have under your full control is "the book"
Your probably wondering what I mean by "the book"
The rule book.
Do you know what officers do when they want to crack down on the public? They start to "enforce" the rule book.
We as drivers can do the same by using that green fmcsa rule book.
Example- Dispatcher screws driver. Drivers responds with "well this trailer is bad or im missing some permits or hos are or my eta is"........
Point is that dispatchers are in full control of loads. But drivers control all the equipment and product inside equipment that can't be moved because...................well, you know. -
Sorry to hear you had a bad trainer and DM. Your DM was probably used to drivers that get things done and you being a rookie probably didn't sit well with his everything will get done attitude. Good luck in your new adventure.

Now Knight in Portland,OR that is a great office everyone there is GREATTTT!!!!! really good people

Memphis can go either way from what I have heard. I have heard good things about Portland. Most of those drivers stay on that side of the Rockies but every now and then I run into one here in Texas and they do like the people they work with.
