My air bags are all original and beyond dry rotted.
I ordered all 8 new ones and here is what KW sent me:

They look like they are missing a bracket on the top. My current ones have a bracket, although some are not identical to each other.. but they are bolted to the frame rail.
Is that top bracket typically reused with the air bag assembly squeezed under it?
Cause I dont see any way to bolt or attach any bracket to the top of this air bag unit...

The old bags should have a nut holding the bracket to the top of the bag where the big line connects to the bag. -
Let me know how it goes, mine need to be done soon. How much did the bags cost?
-
Yes you reuse the bracket unless they are broken. You have to buy those separately.
-
If it is anything like the AG100 the top plate is aluminum, which means after a few years it corrodes to the top of the bag which is steel. When I replace a bag I usually plan on replacing the plate also if it not one I have already done cause it's probably going to be bad.

These look like metal....not alum I mean.
Bags are onsale from KW this month I think.....$128 each or so? -
The new style AG380 and 400 have steel brackets. Aluminum stopped with the 100 and 200
-
The new bags look to tall for the 400. Mine has the 400 and the bags look like doughnuts.
Hanadarko Thanks this. -
I know....I thought this too. Prior to install they are this tall.
Once installed they are much shorter...
