I am seriously looking into this company, and I was wondering if any current or past drivers for them could tell me their average weekly pay and miles. I live in Chattanooga, TN and will be operating out of the Cuba, AL place. I would like regional.
Now I spoke to a few different recruiters and all said the same, "we do not quote miles or average salaries" and "we did an audit last year for the previous 6 months and found the average driver made .54 cents a mile"
Yes, they pay .40 cents a mile to start, but is it worth my time if I'm only driving 1000-1500 miles per week as I've heard. Please can anyone give me a little more info?
THANKS!

I worked for them for a month and decided it wasnt for me...about 1800 on average is to be expected. I decided the miles wasnt worth it and home weekends means only saturdays so you need to consider that also.

You do not want to work for this company! I'm putting in apps like crazy to get away. The average (pay) is crap. That's based on the in crowd drivers. when you're with a trainer you will drive until you can't see straight but when you get your own truck you wont make any money. I've been with them a year and had one pay check for $900.00. Since then i haven't brought home over $550.00. And yeah, your weekend is Saturday. The selected get home before lunch on Friday but the rest is Friday evening or night. Yesterday I drove 724 miles to get home which is 124 miles more than legal (dot) for the speed of the trucks. 62 miles an hour! You can't get anywhere to take a normal 10 hour break because you cant even do the speed limit. What they tell you in orientation is total crap. Tarp pay is .1 cent per mile, think about that. if you drive 250 miles you made $2.50. They will run you short runs all week then send you as far away from home as they can. And your wait time to pick up and sometimes unload will kill your time. You will lie on your log book from day one. Get a ticket and it's on you. Sorry for the long message, tons more i could say, just trying to save you from a huge regret, and bankruptcy. Last thing. Mr mcelroy is one of the finest people you will meet but isn't as involved as he once was. Most of them running the company hasn't ever even drove a truck.
