I have applied with a big carrier, I've been off the road, for awhile, and now have decided to come back. The problem is, from what the company I applied with is saying, CRST is taking their time varifiying my work history. It was 9 years ago, that I left them. I have been told they are doing this alot, anybody else having this trouble? Whne i called them i guess there were busy discussing their, well....what evers, and would hardly talk to me.
Anybody else having trouble with CRST?

Have you considered Trans-Am Trucking ?
I have a few friends who work there and they like it pretty well.
they run teams and get around 5,500 to 6,000 miles per week. could be worth checking out. -
Thanks for the reply Smurf but I really want a solo truck, it's the fact that they are dragging their feet, atleast someone is, that is making me so mad.

Lately dragging their feet is the only thing they do well. I am still employeed there, and will use today as another fine example.
Payroll messed up yet again and lost every trip I turned in last week. So rather than get a paycheck today I get the distinct pleasure of calling payroll. The wonderful ladies there can never seem to answer any question the same way twice. The only thing you really understand after calling them is what a burden it was to actually have to answer a phone and hear someone want information! How dare us!!!
Friend CRST has better things to do than worry about the likes of you and me. If you have to wait on them my best advise is be very very very patient. If you have old pay stubs, log books or anything that may work you will save yourself a lot of frustration.
Good luck! -
They run solo as well as team.
from what i hear from the people i know who work there they're not a bad company to go with. they all say they get plenty of miles and have nice trucks. I did talk to one of their terminal managers and they were very friendly and helpful. you can go to their web site and get some of the info there. I would just ask lot's of questions and if you don't like what they have to say you can say no thanks. -
well it seems crst in all their insanity didn't even bother to respond to the new company, what a bunch of...well i won't say that in public. It seems ot me that they could have just punched in some numbers and said"oh yeah he was here", but i guess they are to busy messing up payroll, and double dispatching loads, and oh yeah, filling out accident reports. what ever you do STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS YOU CAN!!! I would treat them like they have the plague.
