I have a 2012 Cascadia (company truck) and after my Coleman died within a couple months, I went ahead and bought a truck fridge. They are kind of expensive, but come with a 2 year warranty and fit in the cabinet where the fridge is supposed to go. It looks like it came form the factory. This thing is 12 volt and works outstanding!

I'll save the $500+ difference and walk around mine in the floor. That fridge ain't no better than the one I have and is probably smaller to, considering it fits inside the hole mine won't.

Bad thing is Coleman no longer sells the replacement fans.
The inside fan is the one that usually dies from ice build up on the heat sink.

    Ebay sells the 60mm x 60mm x 10mm computer fan.Exact same thing.
    I bought 2 for 6 bucks.
They run a little faster than the Coleman fan but it cools better.
Now i carry a spare fan......5 minute swap.

I'm always amused that somebody somewhere will claim a Coleman cooler is just as good as a truck fridge. Well, you can live in hope I guess. I went thru so many of those cheap things and yeah they will work ok once you spend the next 3-4 hrs hoping they will cool down enough to store foods etc. Thats assuming you keep your truck cool in the first place as I'm sure you do when its 100 deg plus in AZ. Because its all predicated on what the outside temp is, what determines the temp of that cheap cooler gizmo, inside.
No, my friends, I had enough of those cheapo things long ago and bought myself a nice truck fridge and I can get plenty of stuff in it. Even has a small freezer that works.
Easy to install and it works a treat. It won't run the battery down. Yeah, it costs upwards of $500 but to me its worth every penny. In fact I'm thinking of buying another one, one of those portables that for drinks, water etc. My eating habits a tad more sophisticated than most, as I decline eating at any truckstop, thank you very much. I'll find myslf a decent supermarket and load up.
Those coolers were never meant to carry food anyway, because you can't keep a constant temp, no matter what you do and I always had to make sure the darn thing was plugged in well enough otherwise it just shut off at the wrong time. They are more useful for storing soda cans.
You get what you pay for, pure and simple.
But good luck with that thermo cooler.

Same exact sleeper i have......The Coleman fits perfect under that drawer and never moves.
I have a Dorm size fridge but it is too wide.

No doubt a real fridge is better but my thermo-electric turns sodas into slush.
Having an AC vent under the bunk blowing on it really helps too.

And my truck will power it off if i forget to unplug it after about 2 days.
