Ok im back .Took a 34 hr reset . Pick up a load in KC for OHIO Fuel Surcharge this week .45

loaded miles 707x 1.45 = 1025.50 there was no mt miles on this load
I used 103g of fuel on this run at 3.65g = 375.95 (with my discount)

    Load paid 649.55

My total miles for this week so far 1753 on Thursday Morning . Monday payroll deadline i had 3338. I decided to do a reset so what i did was held a load back which was my last load 878loaded 168Empty And carried it over to this week . It gave me a head start for this week why i did my reset so basically i finished my reset on tuesday night with 1046 out the gate . Plus this load 707 =1753. Sometime it works out that way when it does i carry aload over . Makes it nice you have a short week and dont miss a payment . Hopefully ill have another decent week with my 70 and i can carry over another load for another head start the following week . The key is to keep it going so everytime you decide to do a reset you bank some miles wont hurt you as bad.

Ok im signing out hollar on thursday night hopefully

    Kutina Thanks this.

Sounds like you're making it work...It looks like you're making a lot of informed business decisions when you have loads to choose from. You're maximizing your efficiency and not just looking at the total miles on the loads.

Fuel is a big thing . Watch how much you buy where you buy.Cpl light loads here and there puts the icing on the cake some weeks. But Ive had light loads when its windy and only got 6.0 and you spend as much as you would if it was heavy.

Believe me the wind is hardly ever in my favor . Make the best of it hope you get it back later

Tomorrow is another day . Ill send a post Monday evening

Nice thread.Wind,IMO is more important then weight for fuel economy, example, last week i went to california with 5000 lbs load and i got over 8 mpg,no wind.On my way back, took same route, same weight, mpg was under 7,because of wind

I saw earlier in your post about big swings in your mpg's.I'm at ACT also but I have the cummins. One of my buddies has the paccar with the tag axle and high gear ratio like you do and he was having radical changes in his mpgs and act couldnt get it right. He has a buddy that works at the springfield Mo kenworth dealer that he took it to and they reprogrammed and set his computer to the right settings and his mpgs jumped 1 !/2 mpg. They set him up where he runs 61-62 mph and gets 8+ right now and he said if he runs 65 it starts to drop.He was really happy with this guy and says he really knows how to set up that paccar motor.let me know if you want his name and I ca
    n find out for you.

I made my delivery to MO. Sitting for dispatch now

    Loaded Miles 598 x 1.47 = 879.00
    Empty Miles 211 x 1.37 = 289.07
Total Revenue = 1168.07 I used 80g of fuel this load cost me 317.60 So i made 854.47 total ( fuel cost is without discount . I calculate
My fuel usuage off the qualcomm everytime i make delivery or pick up a load. Not sure how accurate it is but that
    what the qualcomm says.)

No question's .....just a comment........with 22 yrs experience you are happy to work for that little pay, you are taking a whole lot of personal risk for 40k......do you really think you are being treated well?
You are being taken advantage of, renting a job, nothing more.
With risk is supposed to be reward, I sure don't see any......what are weeks away from family worth...a whole lot more than 40k.
Drivers have to stop falling for these schemes, it NEVER works out to your favour.
