I think the clerk should have told them you snooze you loose Ruski!
Me too patty. I ask about the wait and if they dont hand me a shower key I'm gone. I drove alot at night so I usually stopped in the wee hours to shower. Maybe a funny story? First day with my trainer we stop at that huge truckstop in Carlisle, PA (what was the name of that?). We get our shower keys, I finish, dont see my trainer anywhere so I figure he's waiting in the truck, I go out into the parking lot and realize I dont have a clue where we parked. Luckily he was still in the shower and came out shortly. After that I learned to watch where the truck is parked.
And if you have all girls it could be weeks
trust me we raised 4 daughters.
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
I know what you mean; I was on an older carrier one time. Berthing underneath the #3 arresting cable, noisy, stayed tired 24/7, wait for shower, then maybe warm water if lucky. Lots of stress to release in those ports.

The worst I ever waited was about 30 minutes or so. That was a good thing about the TA smartphone app, one can reserve a shower while one is 10 miles away.
I did this alot heading west on I80. I would stop at that rest area west of Minooka, IL and reserve a shower for the TA in Morris. By the time I got there and parked I only had a 5-10 minute wait (which I stayed in the truck and played on the laptop until I got a text saying it was ready.) -
An hour and 45 minutes at the Flying J in Barstow. Had to have one, loaded carpet tack strips, had to tarp it and had come to Cali from the East and the tarps were covered with salt and sodium chloride. I NEEDED that shower, wipes wouldn't have made a dent! Never waited that long anywhere else for any reason.

maybe 30 minutes, but when I'm gone long enought that I have to get a shower, I will go for middle of the night or middle of the day.
